core_crystal_(xenoblade)

Posted under Tags

According to the wiki page for this tag, this is strictly for use with the core crystal object.

The game itself calls the embedded crystals "Core Crystals" and as of now, the tag for these is Chest Jewel which also uses "Core Crystal" in its definition.

However, the "Chest Jewel" tag seems to exclude blades like Dagas, Floren, Gorg, etc. where they don't have the typical embedded core crystal.

Either the tag name should change: core_crystal_(xenoblade) -> core_crystal_(object)
Or the restriction should be dropped and it should be a tag used for both the object and the body crystals.

Something else needs to be done then, because only calling it "core_crystal_(xenoblade)" isn't correct.

The core crystals embedded in blades are also called core crystals, even within the game itself. The lack of clarity in the tag name led to multiple mistags that were corrected.

I don't even think the core crystal object is drawn enough to warrant its own tag entirely.

Would adding the series to the proposed change be better? "core_crystal_(object)_(xenoblade)"

It looks a little silly, but I fully believe the clarification should be made in the tag name itself

Updated

I think core_crystal_(object)_(xenoblade) might be what's best for this tag in particular, since it's seeking out that object

I only dislike blade_(xenoblade_2) due to sena & some others from xc3 also having core crystals

I'm new to this whole forum thing.. am I able to request another bulk edit of core_crystal_(xenoblade) -> core_crystal_(xenoblade)_(object) in the same thread, or do I edit my earlier one?

Same, but also, since I wouldn't consider Lanz a machina, I wouldn't consider Sena a blade either.

You can edit your previous BUR by clicking on the bulk update request #14805 part, but it's usually considered best practice to make a new one if it has already been voted by a few people, so that the score count is clean.
