Tag Population: *_skin

It seems that most of the *_skin tags, especially pale skin are grossly under-tagged (~3510 posts).

I'm pretty confident that there are much more posts with characters of that skin colour out there,given the focus of the site,so feel free to add in *_skin when you can,while tagging

(Has this been brought up already?The most recent discussion seems to be about dark skin )

Also,according to the wiki,is pale skin to be kept separate from the average Caucasian skin colour,
i.e. Not tagging every picture with a light-skinned person as pale_skin?

Yes, pale skin is meant to be distinctly lighter than you'd see on the average light-skinned person (Western or Asian). Think almost pure white or albino.

The problem I have with pale skin is the lack of good separation from white skin. I was planning on bringing up the mess between these tags in the future, but it seems on topic to do so now.

I've never used white skin. If it is meant to tag the skin color of most Caucasians / East Asians, I'd argue it ought to be nuked, as is in practice that feature is so common as to be the default for most content here (not to be racist, but it's the truth). We don't have medium-length_hair or medium-sized_breasts for the same reason. Tags are usually only given to things that stand out as being notable or salient.

I use white_skin for skin that is WHITE like milk or snow. Examples:

I'd like to remove all instances of mere "pale" or "Caucasian" skin from that tag, including:

In that case, I'd alias white skin to pale skin (after it's been cleaned up of course). I don't think there is enough variation in the tones encompassed to warrant splitting them up that way (after all all pure white skins are very pale, and all skins pale enough to warrant pale skin should be very close to white).
