Remove implication: mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha series

Posted under General

I tried removing the mahou_Shoujo_lyrical_nanoha tag and try to replace it with its sequels, but the mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha tag just can't go away. Is there any way to remove this implication?

(P.S. the implication of the mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha series must go to lyrical_nanoha for these tags)

I honestly find the lyrical_nanoha tag quite sloppy. The phrase "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha" can refer to the series as a whole, as well as the first original series.

Compare rockman: this refers to the whole series while rockman_(classic) refers specifically to the original Megaman series, at the time of Light/Wily.

Just my two cents.

The phrase Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha now only refers to the first original series, while Lyrical Nanoha now refers to the series as a whole. So the lyrical_nanoha tag is NOT sloppy.

Yes it can refer to both original TV series and the whole series. It (mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha tag) even was used exactly this way in the past.
But we decided to split it and use lyrical_nanoha for the series and mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha for original TV. See forum #53733 for details.

Our umbrella franchise tags are slightly inconsistent, largely due to being fairly recent creations, and there not being many of them. Some have _(series) and some don't. I think lyrical_nanoha is fine as it is though. It's just utilitarian, not something that has to match an actual title.
