It might be a good idea to agree on some word (garbage, trash, etc) and use it for both barrels and bags.

Bags and bins/cans are visually distinct and can be used differently, so I'd keep them separate. If we wanted, an umbrella term could be implicated from both, though I'm not sure it's necessary.

In this case both tags have 7 posts so they are equally used. Just saying.

Edit: List of related tags currently in use:
dustbin, garbage_can, recycle_bin, trashcan.

Excluding "recycle bin" as a separate concept, and including the more common trash_can (two words); trash_can would be the clear winner, with garbage_can coming in second:

There is some obvious regional correlation though with "trash can" being chiefly American, "garbage can" being US & Canadian, "dustbin" being mostly from Commonwealth countries, and "trashcan" being US & Scandinavian of all things.

You misunderstood me. I was talking about the same word as a component of two different tags. Like trash_can and trash_bag, and not garbage_can and trash_bag.

Although, if we are going to just stick to the most used tags atm, then there's no need to argue. They are already using the same word.
