On a related note, I've got a question on howto:rate:

    • All clearly visible bodily fluids except blood, saliva, sweat, tears, mucus, venom and most non-human cases of milk (cum, pussy juice, pee).

Assumedly, this means all of these images should automatically be tagged "Explicit", yet there are a lot that are not, and some users seem to be under the assumption that urine in an image is not an automatic "Explicit". I tried searching around, but I can't find any discussion where this was agreed on (just a few citing howto:rate). So what is the rule for rating these images?

Urine automatically being explicit always seemed strange to me. The rating system is for sexual content, and urine doesn't have to be sexual.

I think it might be better changed to urine being questionable automatically, and explicit only if the urine is presented in a clearly sexual way.
Example of what I would consider non-sexual urine: post #1352327
And sexual urine: post #1346638

Artists just nearly always draw pee in a sexual way. Most images show the character's genitals, or their wet underwear. They would be at least questionable even without the pee.
If we had an image of a man seen from behind standing at an urinal, we wouldn't rate that questionable or explicit. There just aren't enough good examples of non-sexual peeing images.
I'd also rate them safe if they are just peeing for comedic purposes: post #920499

I edited a post that happened to be tagged with urine, and noticed that it automatically changed urine to pee, with pee having a post count of 1. urine's post count is still at 2638.

Something must be wrong with reversing aliases. Even though the wiki pages show urine being aliased to pee, they seem to be separate. Oddly, searching "urine" will show the one post tagged pee, and searching "pee" will show the 2000+ posts tagged urine and not the one imaged tagged pee.

edit: I 'fixed' (still not exactly sure what this does) the pee tag, and it now will find the one post tagged pee, leaving the posts still tagged urine unsearchable using either tag.

edit2: I have no idea if someone else did something, but searching "pee" once again finds the 2000+ images tagged urine, still without the one tagged pee.

Updated

I was confused by seeing urine in the tags of a post myself and figured I must have remembered how this thread went wrong.

(Personally, I'd rather have pee -> urine, because "pee" sounds a little juvenile, but the decision had already been made by the time I paid attention to this thread.)

Aliases are incredibly broken. R.I.P.

Anyway I don't know the cause but I'm going to fix the posts that weren't moved correctly. Edit: Done.

I think that "urine" sounds too clinical, personally.

Updated

Since this is relevant to the topic, I saw something went wrong with the urine -> pee alias.

If you do a tag search or start typing in the search bar, there's 1 image tagged with urine. This shouldn't be the case for aliased tags.

Trying to fix it, searching urine pulls up the aliased results as well, so it can't really be found as far as I know without disabling the alias temporarily.

Yeah, it looks like the cache for the alias is still bugged. Editing any post with the pee tag will replace it with the urine tag.

An admin will need to use an alias correction to update the cache.
