Unsure of uploading

Posted under General

Not sure where else to say this but unless there is someplace more suitable for this discussion, I'm posting here.

I'm thinking of uploading a 4-koma series from pixiv here but I'm doubtful if it'll get approved and cause me to waste my uploads. So i'm just checking to see if there's an interest in it being translated.
Last time I tried to upload a comic, none of the pages got approved and I lost quite a few of my upload limits.
Anyways, here's the first chapter.

This is all just my opinion, but it probably isn't worth uploading.

The art is okay at best, the image quality seems a bit poor, and it doesn't seem all that funny (although I only skimmed it a bit).
It's not of a popular copyright, it's not by a well-known artist, and it doesn't really seem to have any other redeeming features.

If you want to try uploading it anyway, I would try uploading just a few pages you think are good at first instead of the whole thing. That way it won't be too bad if it doesn't get approved.
If they get translated and it turns out it's actually pretty interesting, it stands a better chance at getting approved.

And for future reference, there's an Upload Feedback thread (forum #45532). (Not that it's seen any action for months.)

Basically comic uploads need a "hook" to get approved. It can be ugly or pretty but if there is nothing there to get people to read it then it will die in the queue.

Admittedly I don't speak a lick of Japanese but I sense that comic could be really hit or miss.

I find if the pages don't speak to me regardless of understanding the words or not, it might not be worth it.

I honestly wouldn't go through with it since I don't find it appealing.

If you think you're deadset on uploading, then go with the standard of ONLY a couple posts to test the waters a bit. You theoretically take a hit but a very minor one.

I suggest to stay off it. It might have a few highlights, but most of it doesn't look too promising to me. There's a bunch of technical flaws as well, such as poorly compressed images and incorrect aspect ratios.

From howto:upload:

Err on The Side of Caution

You are likely to hear this phrase repeated throughout your stay in Danbooru. To oversimplify things a bit, if you are unsure if you have to do something or not, it is better that you don't.

It's better not to upload them if you have doubts.

I think that's because each page was uploaded individually at first, and then compiled into one update e.g compare http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=manga_big&illust_id=22462831&page=9 with http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=big&illust_id=21561606
