nijie.info blocked?

Is anyone able to access nijie.info? I don't know how long it's been "down" but yesterday I tried to access it all day and it was timing out everytime. I thought it was just offline, but it's been like that for so long now. I just tried to access it with a proxy to confirm my suspicions, and it opened. I wonder if it's just South America or everywhere else as well, and why do they do this?

If they are really blocking foreign IPs, should we favor Pixiv/Nico Seiga mirrors in source links?

Asked a friend (brazilian) and it timed out for him. This is ridiculous. Anyone from nearby countries having the same problem?

Works from where I am, but I tried a couple brazilian proxies and it did indeed time out.

It works from Germany. I kinda doubt nijie would block single countries. All foreign IPs could happen, but that? Nah.
Might very well be blocked from your side, like how Korea blocked danbooru this february. Never underestimate the dumbness of politicians.

...sigh. It's only a matter of time for Russia as well, sadly. They already considered "any hentai image that involves characters that look underage" to be child porn and there have been precedents of blocking such pages. We can only hope that they would be as slow as ever.

As for nijie, my guess is that they just blocked an IP range - due to DoS attack for example, it's a rather common practice. Mailing their support could be an idea.

You can also try tracerouting to nijie to see if your connections are blocked before you get to the website
