Once again, a massive removal of posts from a pool

Posted under General

Pretty much every subjective pool becomes useless after some time.

But anyway, it's true that the current system is a bit inconvenient. It makes it easy to abusively or accidentally remove a bunch of posts from pools (granted, that can be easily undone) and also makes it harder to remove posts more selectively. Going back and forth checking post numbers to remove or typing up pool names or numbers is more cumbersome than the old delete mode IMHO.

Just use a tag script to simulate delete mode. eg. To remove posts from Badass, search for pool:1277 and apply the tag script "-pool:1277" to the posts you want to remove.

^...Now why didn't I think of that? Thanks.

As for the Badass pool, I only clicked on a few random posts from those that were removed, but it seems to me that he was simply trying to clean it up. Who the hell adds things like post #1204489 and post #1161343 in such a pool anyway?

The latter was me.

In my defence, it was probably 3am and I'd just finished reading the 'Ocarina of Time' manga.

Just like last time, the user who removed the posts basically just removed the most recent 1000 posts from the pool. Here's what the difference looks like visually (green is added, red is removed).

I'd bet it's because of the way the pool ordering interface works. Since it's limited to 1000 posts, attempting to order pools with more posts than that would chop the other posts off the end, even if the user doesn't make any changes.

In 2013-09-11 the user Waribuki remove a impressive amount of posts from Badass pool.

Someone please check if it is correct or a mistake.

thk

Looking through all the pictures Waribuki removed, he was probably right to do so.

Most of those images were about as badass as wearing a fedora with sneakers on.
