Speaking frankly, I am intimidated, even scared, to search through (and inevitably overlook) relevant threads, especially if discussions were not resolved, so for the following, I will only be referring to cited wikis. I apologize in advance.
Currently, the penetration wiki reads:
Penetration by objects that aren't normally used for penetration, so no penises or sex toys. Instead, use vaginal for penis and sex toy penetration, which is a vague tag for all vaginal penetration.
...with object_insertion aliased to it.
The vaginal and anal wikis are all-encompassing of anything within for sexual purposes, and insertion is generally object-oriented.
I know this will seem redundant, but I suggest the following:
create implication vaginal_penetration -> vaginal
create implication vaginal_insertion -> vaginal
create implication anal_penetration -> anal
create implication anal_insertion -> anal
Where "penetration" would refer to gonads (primarily penises), and "insertion" would refer to objects (including such as strap-ons). My immediate concerns are:
- how fingering (or other non-gonad body parts) would figure in,
- what non-biological gonads would qualify for (ex: inherent robo-dong),
- determining if particular tentacles qualify as gonads and/or "objects",
- non-vagina/anus orifice penetrations/insertions (primarily oral),
- use/implication of penetration and insertion themselves,
- "clean-up} of the plethora related tags,
...and others I'm sure would come up, if this gains traction.
However, I feel this redundancy can allow for useful tag combinations, particularly in cases where (as defined above) penetration and insertion are depicted for a single orifice.
I might also call for reforming tags such as double_/triple_penetration to go along with the above, but I've thought such through even less than the above, but the consideration is present, at least.
