We have wristband as a separate tag from bracelet, and also armband as a separate tag from armlet. My assumption was the latter tags referred to something more ornate (since they imply jewelry) while the former are more simple-looking bands.

As with wristband and armband, I've taken to using ankleband as something that isn't jewelry and closer to cloth, generally elastic.
