Question about gap tag

So I uploaded post #1823196 and wanted to use the gap tag, but the wiki states it's explicitly for Yakumo Yukari's portal. Yet when I did a gap -touhou search, there were some unrelated images there as well. Should the wiki be changed to describe any sort of portal, not just Yukari's? Or should there be two different tags to differentiate between them?

If it's non-Touhou and called a gap in canon, I'd say tag it gap.

Well I tagged the above image with gap, but I think the wiki needs to be changed.

+1. It's more common for this concept to be referred to as 'portals' than 'gaps' in my experience, and portals also seems like the more descriptive and less ambiguous term.

I like portal (object). We have images from the game portal for example that can use that tag along with any misc series.

Any thoughts about making portal the tag for the object, and using a qualifier for the game series?
After all, it's a common word in the English language.

Moving gap to portal and portal to portal_(game) would alter the tag subscriptions of anyone subscribed to portal – they'd suddenly start getting pictures of gaps instead of the game. I doubt more than a few people are subscribed to it, but still it's something to be aware of.

I assume no one foresaw the need to have something like this doable through the UI, but one should be able to bulk update all "portal" in tag subscriptions of all users to "portal_(game)" directly through the database.

gap_(Touhou) for Yukari's specific case, as it's visually distinctive. (and gap is too ambiguous without a qualifier)

portal_(object) for the general case.

Former implies later.

Seems to be the best solution. Anything more specific will only be needed if the object in question has an official name and is drawn semi-frequently relative to its source material.
