Score and rating: Homestuck

Who keeps rating down all the Homestuck posts? Whoever it was, that person even requested to delete some of them just because "it's just homestuck". Definetely somebody who dislikes Homestuck enough to go through the trouble of visiting every page and rating them all down every month.

Sadly this goes on all the time, and not just for Homestuck. I know it can't be helped, but it makes looking at an image's rating pointless.

Has there ever been a proposal to count and allow searching on upvotes and downvotes separately? That could be useful in cases like this.

I would be surprised if there weren't a number of tags where you could repeat the exact same statement except replacing "down" with "up."

The ratings don't mean much to begin with. It's only a record of people's opinions of a post. Not some objective measurement of a picture's quality.

If somebody wants to spend money donating to the site to rate down stuff they don't like, then that's the rating system working as intended. Isn't it?

They are tracked separately, though you can't search for them that way: e.g. "up_score":4,"down_score":-6 in http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts.json?tags=id:1736491

Thanks! Since it already works like that internally, it's probably not too hard to implement searching and sorting by up/downvotes. It could even be done client-side via JSON, although that would be inefficient for large data sets.
