The tag they had lots of sex afterwards is misleading, since the meme seems to get parodied more often than not.

That is, you see a ton of stuff like this:

As such, I'd like to suggest we rename the tag to "Afterwards they had lots of", since that doesn't fill in the blank with the wrong word, as it were.

Parodied or not, it doesn't change the fact that the meme started with "they had lots of sex afterwards." I'd wager the reason the phrase even blew up the way it did was the "sex" part.

The meme may have started with the phrase, but using it for every parody out there is misleading. Personally, I think there should be a second tag specifically for the parodies (with an implication, maybe) - that would certainly help my blacklist.

Also, is "lots of" necessarily the best choice for "滅茶苦茶"?

Whether or not it's what made it popular is irrelevant. The relevant point is that the way the tag is set up, it forces the "punchline" as it were to be something that it may not be.

We do not add or remove implications when there are multiple notable examples of whatever is implied is not an example of the implied tag. (We don't imply green hair or twintails when Hatsune Miku is tagged, since her hair isn't always visible, and isn't always green. That doesn't mean green-haired twintailed Miku isn't popular or part of what made her popular.)

All memes get parodied and altered at some point, that's not much of a reason to change their original name (especially when the original has such a nice ring to it).

-1 to the removal of "sex" from the tag name. The tag is and should be named after the original version, which is the way it should be. It doesn't matter how the derivatives are worded, it's the derivatives that are irrelevant.

As for "they had lots of sex afterwards" versus something like "afterwards they had lots of sex," I'll go with whatever others decide.

The brackets were there because I wasn't sure whether or not we were dropping "sex".

A bunch of the punchlines involve the end of the sentence being cut off though...

I think there would be a lower chance of future translation problems if we stuck closer to the original word order...

For what it's worth I'm also for it staying the way it is since that's the way it started.

Actually, I see at least as many go "Afterwards, there was..." because, as Bansho said, that's the original order, and it's often cut off, or has a different punchline.

Also, no one has answered my question about the best translation for "mechakucha".

albert's message there is an automatic response generated when the pending alias is either approved or rejection, at least I believe it is (on github I had requested some sort of notification be generated when a pending alias/implication gets either approved or rejected to avoid stealth approvals or rejections). A new request would need to be made to bring it back up for review I guess. A bulk update request can be used to keep it in this thread.

He's checking. Which is why the ro-500 to u-511 implication was removed after it was approved and there was complaints.

It justs makes things easier when it comes to approving or rejecting a proposed change and having a request pending will mean it's kind of a flag to insure he comes back to check on the discussion here.
