To replace side_slit in instances where the opening doesn't go all the way down. Seen on akashi_(kantai_collection) and ibuki_(street_fighter).
Good idea, Y/N?

Tag and wiki page created: hip_vent
Not done tagging akashi_(kantai_collection) -hip_vent or ooyodo_(kantai_collection) -hip_vent, haven't even touched miko -hakurei_reimu -kochiya_sanae -hip_vent or hakama -hip_vent.
e:…And I probably should've been adding bare_hips to all those ones I did do, because I see that most of hakama does not depict bare hips.

Man, that term is hard to search for, since 蟹股立ち means "standing bowlegged" and is far more common. Couldn't find anything on Google Image Search indicating that 股立 is used for clothing besides hakama.
I then looked on the pixpedia page for Akashi and it describes her as wearing a "腰回りの露出した" skirt. This is linked to their page on "slit", which is unhelpfully about the reproductive organs of reptilian/aquatic furry characters.
Ibuki's pixpedia page says "両サイドの腰から大胆なスリットが入っている" and Ooyodo's just describes her as having "a hakama-like pleated skirt similar to Akashi's."
This isn't much of a sample size but it suggests that Japanese people probably just refer to this as a "slit" most of the time. Since side_slit is a distinct concept on Danbooru, let's stick with hip_vent IMO.
