Typing "pa" already autocompletes to panties, there's no need to have "panty" autocomplete to panties instead of pantyhose.
The only time someone could miss this is if they're just not using autocomplete at all, and "panties" would naturally be the second thing any speaker of the English language would try if "panty" returns nothing (we could even write a wiki for panty directing users to the correct search. That way even the people not using autocomplete will get to panties).

Looking at search traffic, I can find little evidence of people using thigh highs, knee highs, or panty hose. Even without the alias, if you actually type thigh highs all the way, autocorrect will kick in and suggest thighhighs.
(If you're wondering why thighhighs is listed twice in the second table, it's because the searches "thighhighs" and "thighhighs " (with a space after it, inserted by autocomplete) are counted separately because reasons.)

These are Japanese aliases that I think are unnecessary. These are probably leftovers from the early days of Danbooru when many of these were the primary tags (yes, really).
Note that if you're a Japanese speaker, you can type kanji directly in autocomplete and it mostly works. You don't need these aliases.
There are some words that aren't included here because they're still the primary tags on some boorus to this day (namely on Yandere and Sankaku). These include pettanko, pantsu, nopan, panchira, nekomimi, inumimi, megane, mizugi, sukumizu, wafuku, hizamakura, tekoki, and nakadashi. Although most of these honestly get very little traffic and could probably be safely removed as well.
+1 to all but shimapan, which I still hear sometimes and use when tagging since striped and striped_legwear come before panties in autocomplete. Tsurupeta might be worth keeping because of tsurupettan but I think it's fine to get rid of.

Shimapan gets in the way of Shimakaze, which is more frequently used than shimapan.
