im looking to add a new home page for myself where i can see all new posts by artists i select, or with certain tags i like. is there any site feature like this? i cant just save a search, as this list would be ever-increasing, updating the artists and tags pretty often.
You can use saved searches for that. For each artist or tag you like, all you have to do is save the search for that artist or tag.

Even when you use 12 tags per query (e.g. "~artist1 ~artist2 ~artist3 ...")?
The "Add Tag Subscription" tweak from the Danbooru - Miscellaneous Tweaks userscript adds search results to your profile, though it may not be very user-friendly to set up.

As a Platinum account, you can literally have 1000 saved searches. Also, there is no limit to the number of tags you can combine per line. I just created a saved search with 20 tags using the or syntax that RaisingK mentioned. There's nothing in the code that imposes any limit, so you could even combine 100 tags per line, or even more.
Saved searches suck, we know. A rework is planned, though nobody knows how far in the future it is. For now unfortunately there's no proper way to follow and keep track of a large number of tags/artists efficiently.
