Sadako & The Ring

Yamamura Sadako and The Ring were added to post #5628713 (and post #5625783). A similar image from the artist, post #5576509, was uploaded with the character and copyright tags. I even removed it from that second post, but it was readded and all three times it was added the tagger did not remove original.

This is unusual since there's no indication that this is supposed to specifically be Sadako. No through screen, no comment on twitter or patreon, nothing in the commentary. Going through the images tagged Sadako, it seems that any long-haired spooky girl is getting tagged as Sadako, even if the image is tagged original on pixiv (post #5445663).

While there are plenty such images tagged Sadako rightfully - either due to commentary, pixiv tags, or more blatant references like the screen or a literal ring logo - it feels very odd to tag the noted images as Sadako, even if there are similarities. I certainly don't remember Sadako having a long blue tongue, though I have only watched the American version so feel free to correct me.

Should I garden away the ones with absolute no indication of it being Sadako?

Yeah if it's not Sadako it shouldn't be tagged Sadako.

Hi, I was one of the taggers who added Sadako to one of the posts (post #5625783). I thought the character was supposed to be a stylised Sadako given the similarity in design. I removed it seconds later after seeing that you removed the tags before, so I apologize for any issues I may have caused.
