This is a weird umbrella tag because there isn't much similarity between different types of racks; a wine rack doesn't look much like a gun_rack, neither of which look muck like the rack in post #4009757. Also the tag has often been confused for the shelf tag. I think it makes more sense to have a few smaller tags for specific types of racks than to have this weird catch-all tag.
If this BUR gets approved I'll put the remaining posts into more specific *_rack tags.
Edit: I've cleaned out the tag and made the wiki into a disambiguation page.
