Does no legs have a different purpose from cropped torso and cropped legs or is it a meaningless tag? It looks like most posts should be retagged.

I think no legs still have purpose. Based on what I've read from its wiki, no legs is for when the character actually have legs but not drawn (the artist might forgot). Completely different from amputee.
Hope people still can understand the difference. But some found it kinda ambiguous and I would like to change my mind.

This is too ambiguous. In the tag I see lamias, amputees, weird mecha (post #5374458), fetuses (post #5373899) and more. If we really want to tag the fact that a character has legs but they're not drawn in the picture then we should come up with a better name, but "no legs" is clearly not a viable tag for it.

- post #5968992 shows no legs. Legs are not visible, not because of being hidden by something/someone else. No legs are visible from her skirt.
That kind of post usually gets tagged cropped torso or cropped legs anyway.

Legs out of frame sounds more like upper body to me. Out of sight/hidden sounds more like they are under a skirt or something.
I'm trying to understand how an image of a character with legs not drawn doesn't fall under cropped torso, cropped legs and ghost tail - mechanical legs, prosthetic leg, lamia (going further, it'd mean canon tagging), upper body, cowboy shot and feet out of frame (just to add as extremes) - or something, but I don't get it, can someone link me a post for reference?

Something like post #4174897, or the aforementioned post #5968992? There's no cropping anywhere. It's not out of frame or anything like that either.
imo the differenciation between cropped and no legs tags is itself quite specific and prone to being mixed up by design, but if we need to come up with a less ambiguous alternative to no legs then i think legs_not_drawn is the best we can get in the form of a tag.

I see, thank you. They're wearing skirts, so imho tagging the posts with either of the cropped tags would be fine to find them, instead of having a tag to search for this specifically.
