Nosebleeds are a really common anime occurrence. But for a couple of different reasons. Either the comedic excessive nosebleed or the ones that are a result of an injury.
My goal is to make tags to make both of these concepts more easily searchable. A similar idea was proposed almost a decade ago in forum #108733, but like a lot of topics it didn't really get anywhere unfortunately. I hope that'll change with this topic.
The above BUR is mostly for the classic action of wiping blood in the more serious situations, and the next one will be for the seggs version.
Draft name and wiki. I've added a few posts under the tag as examples as well.
Feel free to suggest better names for this tag. After looking through Google searches this is the least cringe one I could come up with. I'll ask for aliases of more common ways of calling this trope that I thought sounded kind of silly as the main tag name next.
I don't really see the need to separate the two things, we used to have the tag bloody nose for the injury kind but it was aliased away back in topic #18991 (forum #191441).
I agree with Unbreakable, a nosebleed is a nosebleed, I don't see the point in separating them when other tags (e.g. injury) can already do that. Further, several posts added to the new tag don't even match its description. post #6507624post #6462117post #6346795 are all clearly from injuries or being drugged, not arousal. Those aren't the only ones, just the ones I picked out.

How are separating anything? It's still under the same umbrella tag. These new tags will just help users find what they're actually interested in without having to use like 3 tags and a rating search at the minimum to find any decent results.
Of course we did. It is delusional to expect users to use a tag called bloody nose for injuries only. We already know a tag's name is the most important thing to ensure a tag is used properly with minimum mistags.

The themes of the artwork depicting those two tags are wildly different. The former is mostly SFW (wiping nosebleed) while the latter is inherently sexual (aroused nosebleed) and can be considered a fetish tag. Having those two wildly different concepts under the same tag, assuming every uploader will remember to add more tags to clarify, and expecting the user searching to be able to use multiple tags in the first place is too idealistic. Not to mention how we already know from admin reports that most users only search using like 2 tags max, even when they're able to use more.
Looking at the wiping blood tag for example. It has about ~90 posts, and only 12 are tagged with injury. Clearly stuff like post #6415206 are not considered major enough for the injury tag for most users, or they plain forgot about it. I don't understand why we're so opposed to have more specific tags for very popular and specific anime tropes. Our tags relating to sex are very detailed, why not care the same way for other concepts? We should stop assuming everyone has the same interests and are looking for the same things with their searches. I for one would love to be able to search for cool shots under wiping nosebleed and not be bombarded with thousands of NSFW works completely unrelated to what I want to search for. You'd have to go out of your way and think of a 5 tag search just to remove all the unrelated content.

Fixed. I'm not sure where you were going with this, but if it wasn't clear already I'm not overly familiar with those fetishes and I didn't have the luxury of time or privacy to open each and every one of them. I just wanted to provide a couple of examples under the new WIP tag I made.
I don't mind a tag for comedic aroused nosebleeds, but aroused nosebleed is just going to get spammed under is:nsfw nosebleed/ahegaos instead of actual comedic ones.
As long as the nosebleed is about arousal I think the tag's done its purpose. You can either just search for it or exclude it to find actual serious nosebleeds.
Rating searches can help with finding more comedic ones (even though most members don't know how to do this probably), along with excessive nosebleed.
