Anyone could tell you that there's no such thing as too many dogs, but "too many" is the naming convention we use around here so it's probably the best tag to keep. The wiki for too many dogs points to pack of dogs and the wiki for that points to too many. Neither says anything about what makes the two tags any different. The word "pack" can introduce confusion. I would take it to mean a group of dogs with a familial/social connection but the wiki for pack of dogs says "more than two dogs" which isn't what defines a pack for me.
Not all of the posts in pack of dogs fit too many dogs but some of those should just be multiple dogs IMO.
One of the trickier cases for me is post #4911681: Four dogs doesn't seem like enough for "too many" but it's got a kind of vibe that's worth tagging as something.
I'm not sure that the BUR I'm proposing is the best way to go, but I doubt anything would happen if I just brought up the topic so I'm suggesting something. If we're going to have this many tags for groups of dogs we need to define them better. They aren't tagged consistently right now and it's not likely they will be.
Note: I like dogs but not that way (or that other way). Am I missing something from the furry community that makes these tags make sense?
