rename money_rain -> falling_money
Both tags are being used for functionally the same thing at present and money rain does imply that the money is falling, but I also believe that money rain is not a redundant tag.

Your BUR does the opposite of what it seems like you’re trying to do. Did you mean to make this an implication?
I had intended to do that, but first I felt it made more sense to rename the current posts in money_rain because all of them fit into falling_money which I felt was a more generalized tag. Given that money_rain is more specific, to me, and that neither tag has that many posts I felt that it would be easier to do it this way and just go through and tag the posts that actually fit into that tag. Also the time that I made this, neither tag had wiki pages either so I couldn't create an implication. I won't be getting this BUR, but twas worth a shot.

create alias money_rain -> falling_money
I'm not convinced that there is a need for both tags, functionally they both seem to fill the same role.
Downvoting specifically because it's a rename but I'm also not convinced that we need both so I'll upvote the alias. Money rain doesn't even have a wiki so if these two tags were intended to be different you'd have to make an obtuse guess based off of the tagged posts and tag name, which is not great.

These we can clearly see the money falling out of a container. I think this can make a difference from money falling from sky.
I'd imagine that's why John's BUR is aliasing away money rain instead since that seems a slight bit more specific than just a generic "falling money" (from somewhere, be it the sky or out of an object). The lack of a wiki doesn't do wonders for guessing the intentions behind the creation of both tags, either because they were intended to be independent concepts or because the creator(s) didn't know about the other one.
