Make East Meets West a tag?

Another proposal for the pool to tag trend.

This is one of the largest collection pools, and I'm not sure how it's any less objective than our variety of other crossover related tags like trait connection or in-franchise crossover. If anything, being a pool instead of a tag just hurts its visibility.

I've held off on proposing this because I wasn't sure if I was missing something since no one had brought it up before, but even if I am missing something I suppose it doesn't hurt to propose it anyways...

It's a very haphazard pool in general, having crossover, scene reference, cosplay, and style parody all garbled together. Not to mention a few posts from Popular artists draw other copyrights.

What's subjective about "an Eastern copyright/character and a Western copyright/character"? Like, there's no subjectivity about whether something's from East Asia or not? It just is or isn't?

There's nothing wrong with "the fusion of eastern and western pop culture" being a tag rather than a pool. It's easier to search, simpler to use, and it's not nearly as confusing of a concept as you're making it out to be. Scrolling through the recent posts, the vast majority are exactly what you'd expect to find. Sure, there's the occasional post that might not fit, but that's why we garden - asking perfection of any tag is folly. It's good enough, and that's what matters.
