Masking Tape / Washi Tape

BUR #42510 has been rejected.

remove alias washi_tape_(medium) -> masking_tape_(medium)
rename masking_tape_(medium) -> washi_tape_(medium)

Visually masking tape and washi tape look nothing alike, so I'm proposing splitting the tag, this will leave us with just washi_tape_(medium) since there are no images in the tag using masking tape.

BUR #42511 has been approved by @nonamethanks.

rename washi_tape -> washi_tape_(object)

This also seems prudent.

Is washi tape not a subcategory of masking tape?

Should definitely leave an alias in some direction. I don't think "this is art made with patterned tape, but not washi tape" is particularly easy to single out and tag

Washi tape is a type of masking tape and it would be difficult to tell the difference between a patterned washi tape and a patterned masking tape. The main differences are the material the tape is made of which makes washi tape thinner, which often results in a slight transparent effect, and easier to apply and having less adhesive then typical masking tape. I would be hard press to tell if the tape used in post #684266 was actually washi tape as opposed to being made with a different material.
I would support reversing the washi tape to masking tape aliases though as most of these images are washi tape so it makes more sense for that to be the main tag name.

A single image of masking tape being used as medium that is not washi tape would invalidate the alias.
