New Artist Help

Just now I found a new artist and posted a work from them (post #9524072). I also tried to make a new entry for them, but Danbooru says their name is taken. I am not yet experienced enough with the logistics of this site to know what to do next. Help would be appreciated.

You should replace the artist tag in this post.
Oh wait, the deleted artist entry misled me.

Add a qualifier. In this case, since their pixiv stacc is lanaq, you could name the artist toti_(lanaq).

No worries. In the future if you're not sure what to name an artist tag you can always ask in topic #8199, but generally the easiest qualifier formula is displayname_(username) for whichever site you're pulling from.

Thank you. I did almost post in there, but it seemed to be for translations; since this was a different issue I thought a separate thread would be better. I'll remember that for next time.
