Apparently it is being used with crown of thorns as well, which isn’t connected to crown itself.
But there was never a discussion regarding the crown of thorns. If it’s considered different from crown, this implication can’t go through. Still, I’ll let this here for now. Another BUR incoming.

Half of the crown of thorns tag is just Fleurdelys' and Cartethyia's floating crown, which seems more like a halo.
I couldn't find a good alternative tag and didn't want to create a new one just for those two characters. When I first started uploading those characters, I did use crown of thorns. Shortly after I did try to change it to halo but it was changed back to crown of thorns by someone else and it seemed accurate to describe the shape so I continued to run with that. I'm open to alternative suggestions - it is definitely more akin to a halo, both if you know the context and not.
