How can I get a promotion?

Posted under General

So far, I have uploaded 772 posts, of which 37 were deleted, giving me a deletion rate of about 4.8%.
Among those, 29 were deleted within the first two weeks after I became a member, when I still didn’t really understand Danbooru’s quality standards.
After that high-deletion period, another month passed during which I uploaded roughly 660 posts, and only <10 of them were deleted.
I believe I have made some real progress.

My tag-editing record is relatively smaller, with about 2,390 edits.

May I ask what areas I should focus on improving to increase my chances of getting promoted? Do I need to apply in any way, or should I raise my visibility—for example, by participating in discussions?

Thank you in advance for any advice!

So since I'm not a mod myself I can't say if you're eligible for promotion for sure, but to me your contributions look good enough already, it's just kind of a dead period right now with the main admin who does most of the promotions being busy, most likely you gotta wait either for that admin to come back from hiatus or for other mods to realize that they too can and should promote users who deserve it.

From the looks of it, a possible reason why you haven't been promoted to Builder might be because you're on the track to be promoted straight to Contributer once you near about 1k uploads. So the advice for that is basically, keep doing what you're doing and you'll get there.

Thank you all for your warm responses and helpful advice!

I’ll keep working hard to find more good art.
If I could become a Builder/Contributor, it would really mean a lot to me.

Now, I'M MOTIVATED!!!

Go wild! But don't forget to abide to the rules and etiquettes!

How can I also get a promotion? I've been around for a while

It doesn't matter how long you've been here. What's matter is your contribution (posting, editing, and translating)
