if i need 10 approvals to gain a slot and i successfully appeal a post, does it change to 9 approvals?
if i will lose a slot after 3 rejected posts and i fail an appeal, does it change to 2 posts?

No, the only thing that affects slots are your own uploads iirc

Appeals of your own posts count for slots increase upon success, because both it uncounts that deletion and counts it instead as an approval. That's why it's even possible to gain two slots from an appeal, if it both hit your approval trigger for increase and also undid you losing a slot via deletions.
Rejected appeals have no bearing upon your slots.
