Petal color implications

BUR #51533 has been rejected.

create implication white_petals -> petals
create implication yellow_petals -> petals
create implication red_petals -> petals
create implication pink_petals -> petals
create implication orange_petals -> petals
create implication green_petals -> petals
create implication blue_petals -> petals
create implication black_petals -> petals
create implication purple_petals -> petals
create implication aqua_petals -> petals

Imply "petals" on colored petal tags.

The main point of tags is that they help people find images and group artwork. If nobody is searching green petals then it is a useless tag.

I think these should be nuked and deprecated for that reason, reminds me of stuff like forum #396176 or forum #356131

What about tags like grey ascot or blue sash though? That is very oddly specific. And honestly, I'd go as far as say pink hair is already too oddly specific to expect being searched often enough as well (Sorry if this is rude, I swear I'm just trying to understand)

No it's fine you aren't being rude. Generally clothing is given color tags by default as it is seen as both more "important" and is shared across multiple characters so its not super niche or redundant with the base clothing tag. If I'm looking for green ascot multiple characters will come up and its also highly likely to help me ID the girl I'm looking for when combined with another detail that just ascot might not whittle down.

There is some discussion on the forum about some colored clothing tags also being redundant you can see discussion about it here: forum #388839 forum #374241 and the opposite in threads like forum #310966 where a parent tag is killed in favor of more specific tags.

Basically it all comes down to "how many use cases are there for this tag?" And "Are people actually searching for this to find the picture?"

I would say the presence of petals is what's being searched for not the specific color of them outside of stuff like cherry blossoms.

BUR #51535 is pending approval.

mass update white petals -> petals
mass update yellow_petals -> petals
mass update red_petals -> petals
mass update pink_petals -> petals
mass update orange_petals -> petals
mass update green_petals -> petals
mass update blue_petals -> petals
mass update black_petals -> petals
mass update purple_petals -> petals
mass update aqua_petals -> petals
nuke white_petals
nuke yellow_petals
nuke red_petals
nuke pink_petals
nuke orange_petals
nuke green_petals
nuke blue_petals
nuke black_petals
nuke purple_petals
nuke aqua_petals

The reasons Zetsubousensei outlined are why I too would really prefer a nuke. I really don't think these tags help anyone searching wise.

I think the more useful variant would be tags for specific flower petals (like the preexisting rose petals), but those can be hard to tell apart in art. At least cherry blossom petals, maybe?

BUR #51536 is pending approval.

deprecate white_petals
deprecate yellow_petals
deprecate red_petals
deprecate pink_petals
deprecate orange_petals
deprecate green_petals
deprecate blue_petals
deprecate black_petals
deprecate purple_petals
deprecate aqua_petals

Yeah you're absolutely right. Here's a separate deprecation BUR for this.

I think all of the rest of the petals should be nuked but I would prefer pink petals to stay or at least be gardened into a cherry blossom petals tag.

Not against the idea, though I think pink petals itself won't help if we want cherry blossom petals. Maybe a favgroup to create the tag combing through pink petals for the relevant examples if we want that tag?
