How should this problem be approached?
Just recently I had the case of a character being called 小乐, where 小 means little and 乐 is just a part of their name. Not their entire first name or entire last name, mind you.
There's also the case of 小姐, which means like miss, but if we use the same system that we use for japanese honorifics it'd be xiaojie. The Chinese system of honorifics works largely the same as it does in Japan, it's just not used as commonly if I've understood both sides correctly.
