Assumed I was supposed to do a BUR for this, see you (or someone else) already fixed it so rejected the BUR EDIT: Seems moose did it the second before I did lol.

It’s a typo tag, you can fix it. I did it before I sent that since you seemingly didn’t want to go through the effort of changing 5 posts.

It's not the effort, just assumed I was "supposed" to do it via BUR as it were.

We use BURs to nuke valid tags because others are actually using them. Cae was not a valid tag. It is a failed attempt to type a valid tag. This is another reason why your proposed nuke was a bad idea; it would've blindly removed the tag from all of those posts without checking if the correct tag was added. If Reuman didn't remove them manually and the BUR somehow passed, two posts would've been missing the cape tag.

Now maybe I'm being a bit paranoid, but since you sometimes seem to struggle to understand the purposes of these practices, I'm honestly concerned you may end up overcorrecting based on what you've been told in this topic, so I feel I need to provide some counter examples. If it's a copyright or character tag, or even a populated, long-standing general tag with a typo (like if someone made a tag called rediculous and no one bothered to correct it), then you should make a BUR (to rename or alias, not nuke) as those are valid tags that are actually being used. And if they're extremely new (like if you created the tag), you can just fix the typos yourself. But no one's going to search for things like black_ahir, brown_shies (I "created" both of those multiple times), or those frankentags where the tagger forgot to put in an underscore, so you don't need to submit BURs for those.

That explains TY for providing examples, was being overly cautious. I knew I could fix my own tags but wasn't sure in this case due to it being reasonably populated so assumed I had to go through the BUR process.
