Song personifications

Posted under General

Case in point: post #618380

A look at the artist's pixiv page shows that he/she has made many posts tagged with beatmania. This particular one does not have the tag. However, I googled the title just to see if it was original (lol can't read Japanese), and it seems to be a beatmania IIDX song. Title is "お菓子曲" for those who are curious.

Also ran one of the pixiv post's tags (曲擬人化) through Google Translate and got "anthropomorphic songs." So, what I figure is, it's a personification of the song in question. Should it be tagged as such?

Using personification for those seems reasonable to me.

Edit: Wait, no, our definition of personification is... totally not what I expected it to be. The heck?

Surely we have some sort of tag that can be used for this, but I guess it's not personification.

Edit2: Or maybe I'm just reading too much into the wiki definition. Is personification what we use for Japan's habit of "-tan"-ifying inanimate objects?

Not fully sure on that, it's a non-human being made into a half-human so it's kind of iffy and could lead to potentially future complications. Still, I'd have no problems with it being labeled personification. It's the closest thing to the concept of horse -> centaur without having to make a specific tag that will likely never be used again.
