Characters tugging on another person's clothing

I think it would be a good idea if we had a tag describing a character tugging or pulling on another person's clothing.

This could be useful for describing instances where a character (usually a child) wants to get the attention of another person, so they playfully tug at that person's garments.

A concise tag name for this escapes me at the moment (just woke up =P), but what would you think?

Also, since it's worth noting: It appears there's a similar tag called sleeve_tug - where a character tugs on another person's sleeve, rather than on their shirt/dress/mid-section.

Let's just tag any type of tug on clothing with clothing_tug. I don't see a reason to distinguish between sleeve tugging and non-sleeve tugging.

I'm ambivalent on that, given sleeve_tug's low tag count. Wouldn't mind either way.

But also keep in mind, the thing I'm trying to capture here is "third-party" clothing tugging. So we wouldn't want to glob someone tugging their own clothing (post #645987) with someone tugging another person's clothing.

We already have a number of *_tug tags . Of them shirt_tug and skirt_tug are fairly well established with specific meanings, and I'd be against generalizing them. By the current definitions, they are pretty much intended for only 1st person tugging.

None of the ones we have would work very well for the sort of generalized 3rd-person clothing tugging described here. I'm not sure of a great name for that either.

I once tagged a couple of posts with skirt_clutch.

So shirt and skirt tend to be tugging your own but sleeve is someone else's... not inherently intuitive, but looking at the images it's not hard to see why they went that way. Generally you don't tug your own sleeve.

Bleh, I seriously just can't come up with a good name to describe this.

The only somewhat decent-sounding ones are:
third-party_clothing_tug
3rd-party_clothing_tug

Can anyone think of any other names?

I actually sort of like clutch, maybe clothing_clutch?

I mentioned _clutch in the hope that we'd settle on a term that covers both holding for reassurance and grabbing for attention.

clothing_clutch isn't great, but I think it beats messing with the specific meaning _tug has started to develop.

We could specify into shirt_clutch, skirt_clutch, sleeve_clutch, etc, if it sounds better. In this case though it seemed better to me to generalize. I'm not against either direction.
