Like adding certain pictures to a pool and making it private, perhaps?
NO.

Don't quite see why he needed to bold+all-cap'd like that, but no, there's not really any way you can organize your favorites, and you wouldn't want to create a pool for them either. Reason being that if you make a pool(s) for your favorites, even marking them as 'private', they'll still clutter-up the pool list (and consequently be deleted).
So, while you can't really logically group your favorites, one thing you can do is search through them using the following format:
fav:<username> <some_tag> <another_tag>

Well, there is one way to sort-of organize favourites and other posts, in a better-than-nothing-but-not-by-much kind of way: using tag subscriptions (http://danbooru.donmai.us/help/tag_subscriptions).
It's awkward to set up, limited to five 'categories' at most (with each one reducing the number of 'normal' tag subscriptions available), and likely most importantly, requires at least a 'privileged' level account (in other words, normal users can't do this). But, as I said, it's better than nothing.
Basically, create a "tag subscription" with the id tags of the posts you want to group together in a category. To give an example, I've got one set up that reads like this: "id:281796 id:33475 id:33981 id:38234 id:393272 id:44321". To edit the list, you have to go back and edit the subscription and manually add/remove posts by id tag.
Yes, it sucks, and isn't good for much. But, as I said, it's better than nothing.

Oh wow, I never knew you could use tag subscriptions like that. Are there any other neat metatag tricks it's compatible with?
I only discovered it myself a couple days ago, from a comment from Cyberia-Mix in the translation request thread. The main benefit meta-wise is that, like any other tag subscription, the contents of the list are reduced to a single tag (sub:CountPacula:Desperately_Seeking_Source, to use myself as an example) which can be easily linked to, and can also be mixed with other tags to search the list more selectively.
