loli tag cleanup

So, any post tagged as "loli" and it's safe, can have that tag safely removed?

Right, none of those posts are remotely loli. They're just incorrectly tagged. I removed it from those three and might do more tonight.

ah haha...erm. At first I thought you were going to only use images I uploaded as examples. I guess I'm use to associating age with loli instead of porn.

To make up for it I went ahead and did a basic cleanup of the last 100 pages from the loli tag and about 90% of the "loli rating:s" tag combination. I only changed the ones I was sure of... only about a hundred images or so.

It's such a hard thing to adjust to these american usages of japanese terms. Living in Japan, I used "loli" for work-safe loli and "ero loli" for loli porn.

Except lolita is not a Japanese term. =P The definition of loli being used here has *always* been how albert defined it. People just used it incorrectly for a long time. Now that it has an impact on what can be viewed, it's important to get it right and be consistent.

Well, I didn't say loli = lolita.. it's the same but different -- it has a different connotation to japanese otaku. How about a rori tag? Or maybe just ロリ? ;)

No, that kinda stuff is like "cute" and "sexy". If you absolutely must, make a public pool. Just make sure your lolis don't pee in it.

The reason the "loli" tag as we have it here exists is so it can be specifically blocked by people like me. (And I guess now also so it can be shielded from non-privileged users.)

Since the loli tag is for unsafe images only can it please be aliased to lolicon so that meaning is apparent, and can it imply rating:questionable like some other tags do?

Loli images can be questionable or explicit so I doubt an implied rating of 'questionable' is right for it.

Actually, isn't it supposed to be explicit-only? As the wiki says.

I think albert's said to err on the side of explicit for loli, but it's still an image by image thing. A lot will still be explicit, probably.

There are some tags that imply explicit and some that imply questionable already, and the latter ones don't override explicit ratings, only safe ones. See forum #1441
