Is there a differentiation between these tags? If so I (or one of the local ninjas) should add it to the wiki pages. If not, I vote to alias (in which direction, I don't know).

Fundoshi are a subset of loincloths, so there should probably be an implication.

What's the difference between the two? I honestly don't know.
I believe a Fundoshi requires that braided/twisted style.
It pretty much does, yes. Also, fundoshi always go up the buttcrack, by design.
There are several fundoshi styles, but the most common boil down to:
1. Where the cloth at the front is left hanging, like an apron or loincloth, and
2. Where the cloth at the front is brought underneath and tied into the belt area in the rear.
Personally, I wouldn't agree to an alias or an implication, since the second case above more resembles basic thong-style underwear, or a jockstrap with a thong back.
I don't agree either. From most of what i've seen. Fundoshi are usually braided together at least at the back, like a thong, whereas the loincloth is just a belt with two free-hanging flaps.
