It does hurt a little, though. It might ease if they mated searches, but it also clutters the tag list (a solo post with three chartags?) and adds noise to non-if they mated searches. Getting rid of the absent parents so that the chartags reflected who was actually in the image was the main appeal to me of this idea. I was hoping that the 74+ posts was enough to justify an exception.

I think I may have misread the first half of the thread.
If the idea is leaving if they mated and having the new chartags and only taking out the parent names, then I see nothing wrong with it.
The wikis should be more than enough to tell more curious readers who the parents are of each kid.

Both solutions are good honestly so I don't mind either way.
FWIW, since Touhou characters tags are so huge, I think the noise and cluttering you get about if_they_mated is completely negligible though.

Yes, if they mated stays, absent parents go. And this applies to all such children listed in if they mated. Individual wiki pages would have to wait until the dust settles.
