New pool discussion "Ha ha sucker!"

Posted under General

After reading post #458087 I was wondering if a pool related to the concept in the last panel would be worthwhile.

Basically one character tricking another character (mutual hate/dislike) into doing something for them (helping) without the other character realizing it.

Maybe there is a pool like this already but I can't think of what it would be called though.

The name could be changed as the current one is just what happened to pop into my head at the time.

You should refrain to turn pool names into jokes and cut off the extra punctuation.
I think jxh meant to use a more intuitive name. But the issue I see with that is that "trolling" has a strong and well defined meaning that lacks equivalents, much like "badass" for example.

After a second read however your concept is even more specific than trolling. I'm not sure you'll find a lot of posts matching the scenario you described.

the idea of the pool is more about manipulating an enemy, or atleast someone they REALLY can't stand, to do something benifical for the trickster, like tricking them to burn their trash as you stated.

possible names that would fit THAT concept a little better.

"Wait, I helped you!?"
"Controlling Your Enemies" or "How to Control Your Enemies" if you want to be wordy.

ive seen the idea used before in images, I just gotta find them.

I can see the extra punctuation not sure how the pool name is a "joke" though.

I have seen a decent amount of images regarding the subject, but widening the definition to anyone as opposed to enemies is no big deal.

I simply want the focus to be situation where after the fact the tricked would be hopping mad about it.

Tricked or fooled sound a lot more natural to me, trolled seems just jammed in there to make sure the word trolled is in there.

It actually was. I didn't really feel the concept had anything to do with trolling, but the initial feedback seemed to suggest a "troll" based name.

By joke I mean that using sentences as pool names tends to sound like attempts at being funny ("Damn you Japan!", etc.), which should be avoided when possible (rather difficult here for example).

Both sound too vague to me but I may be wrong.

"Fooling my/your rival"?

Though helping isn't mentionned, fooling your rival most probably has some positive outcome for you anyway.
