Reason: seems to be the same.

i've taken the initiative to move the 2 posts from dashed_outline to dotted_outline. the latter is older of the two and used by other users as well.

^ there's no wiki, but i would guess dotted_line refers to cut-out marks with the tiny scissor somewhere along the lines and may not exactly follow the contour of the character. perhaps an additional tag implication?

I don't think the scissors is necessary, dotted line and dotted outline seem to be the same, except one has to be outlining something.

Looks like something we probably have another tag for, or at least should.

I assume outline. Just asking if these variants would be worth having as aliases.
