Tag Alias: tachibana_tomoe -> tomoe_tachibana

Aliasing tachibana_tomoe -> tomoe_tachibana.

Well, her name is written in Japanese as "トモエ・タチバナ". (Profile on the Japanese Trauma Team site: http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/7990/tomoetachibana.png)

(The Japanese might not even be applicable, since the game was released first in North America. In the English version, she's "Tomoe Tachibana" as well.)

But on the other hand, it's clearly a Japanese name, so maybe the alias should go to "surname givenname" order regardless of what the source uses.

No, if it's originally written and spoken only in Western order, then that's the order that is used, even if it is a name of Japanese origin. I notice something that needs to be corrected now, looking around...

It's a similar example to many names used in Japanese science-fiction fare. If they canonically give their names in Western order, despite having obviously Japanese names and/or ethnicity, we stick with the Western-ordered version.

e.g.: shiro amada, ryuusei date, subaru nakajima.

Right, the rule is not "Japanese order" it's "original order". If it's written and spoken in Japanese one way, that's always the tag we use. That just happens to be Japanese order for many names, because most anime characters are Japanese.

Bu in this case, I did an edit not an alias. "Tachibana Tomoe" combined two very common names and I'm sure we'll see it used eventually. Since the character only has 10 images it's not imperative that we alias it.
