The page for flagging needs to have the rule about unapproved posts on it.

Posted under General

There's been a lot of people flagging images that are still in the mod queue lately. The flagging page says a good deal about what you should flag, but little about what you shouldn't, so I think a line saying not to flag unapproved posts should be added. Preferably near the top and in bold so people notice it more easily.

Of course, a more permanent solution would be to disable the ability to flag unapproved posts in the first place but this should serve as a good deterrent.

Neither of those solutions can be implemented by anyone other than albert. If he read this and only changed the flagging rules, that'd be just mockery at this point.

Being able to flag pending posts is a bug and we've asked for a fix for 2 years now. (trac #1103)

Probably not, I know I wouldn't. All flagging does is put a red border around it, and shows the deletion/appeal reason(s) underneath, it doesn't move the post to the top of the queue or anything. So yeah, PMing people until one of them got to it would be the best thing to do.

I agree with S1eth and Shadowblade, if you want a faster response the best methods would be by sending a mail to one of the moderating members or putting it up on the forum.

I know for me, there isn't that much of a higher chance that I'd notice a flagged image faster than one just in the queue. On occasion I do scan and go through the flagged images or I might see a flagged image due to responses in the comment section, but it's not frequent enough to insure that I'd actually see the image faster than any other mod queued image.
