Tag (re-)Discussion: * -> animal

Was there ever an agreement about implicating all the real animals (cat, dog, horse, tiger, etc.) to animal?

The most recent discussion I found was forum #63062
Of which the last thing agreed upon was the following:

None of the commonly used animals are implicated to animal, so does that mean posts with humans and real animals (or animals alone with no humans present) are not to be tagged with animal as well?

Personally I don't think I've ever used the animal tag, and I don't see when a user would use it (if it were to be implicated from everything that is). I guess juunigatsu no usagi's suggestion makes sense though, and that seems to be the conclusion of the previous thread.

Per juunigatsu's comment, no, I'd prefer not to implicate.
