- Hoshino - Wikipedia says that "According to the founder of Samsung Group, the meaning of the Korean hanja word Samsung (三星) is "tristar" or "three stars".
- Hayakawa - Hayakawa Tokuji (早川 徳次) was the founder of the present-day Sharp Corporation.
- Touen - HTC headquarters are based in Taoyuan City (桃園市), Taiwan. Taoyuan's Japanese name is Touen.
