Requesting alias shitogi_elis -> shitogi_eris
The translators of Tenshi no Hanabira Zome have agreed to change the transliteration of this name. See http://nsfw.yuriproject.org/res/649.html#697 for our reasons.
I subjectively prefer the way Eris sounds.
For an attempt at an objective point of view, let's consider that, as said by Hyarare,

I think the mythological Eris fits her very well.
First off, the goddess issue. Her classmates are certainly putting her on a pedestal, so I don't think it would be too far off to call her a goddess, even if in a slightly different sense of the word.
Secondly, (mythological) Eris is the goddess of strife and discord; her counterpart is Harmonia. These match the SonoHana couple extremely well; Shizuku needs to attain harmony so she can work on her calligraphy, and Shitogi has a tendency to throw a wrench in her plans. For instance, SH10 begins with Shizuku doing calligraphy for the class again, and the complete silence of the classroom is broken only by Shitogi commenting out loud about how cute Shizuku is.
Finally, the most famous story of (mythological) Eris is how she started the Trojan War. At a wedding to which some other goddesses were invited, Eris threw in the Apple of Discord?a golden apple with "for the fairest" inscribed. The other goddesses argue over who best deserves the apple and things go downhill from there. This should sound somewhat familiar. In the beginning of SH8, Shizuku was apparently the most popular. Suddenly, Shitogi shows up and steals the spotlight. Shizuku is mad. Or jealous. Either way, it's reminiscent of the mythological story.
Anyway, those are my arguments for using "Eris" given the mythological context.
