banned_artist a general tag?

I noticed that banned_artist is now a general tag, even though I remember it being an artist tag a while ago, probably so that it shows up when using "find artist". The artist info page for that tag also has a huge list of URLs, indicating that it should be an artist tag.

I couldn’t find any forum posts regarding its tag type, so is it safe to change it back because it was turned into a general tag by mistake?

Not sure what happened with it, can't easily search tag edit history by tag (or at least I don't know if I can). I reverted it back to an artist tag for the time being

would it be just all right if we link together banned_artist (red tag) and banned_artists (artist db link but 0-post general tag)? or is it better to separate the posts from the artist db entry?

Is it possible to link to the artist db page with DText? [ [ banned_artist ] ] only takes you to the empty wiki page, which isn’t that helpful. Maybe ghostrigger was actually suggesting to create a link from the wiki page to the artist db entry.

"banned artist" would make more sense as a group than artist tag, right?
Would let us see all artists in one swoop.

The tag itself is fine how it is. It works, has been working and will continue to work as long as nobody messes with it.

I created the wiki entries, if anyone wants to make them prettier. A comprehensive list of artist names, rather than a wall of source links, would benefit the wiki pages. banned_artist, banned_artists

I slightly modified the wiki entries and pointed people towards the list of banned artist names in the implications of banned_artist. I think this should do just fine, as an added bonus that list is also always up to date.

Just as a point of interest, you can omit the domain name from links that use this syntax (i.e. ”banned_artists”:/artist/show/42344), and this is slightly preferable because it keeps users who are, for one reason or another, browsing one of the other subdomains (e.g. hijiribe.donmai.us) on their subdomain of choice.

I was looking for a more automated solution than that, more like <<banned_artist>> or something. As your solution does use DText, it is a valid answer to my imprecise question, though.

Thanks. That’s pretty much what I had in mind.

FYI, the implication list only shows up on the wiki page if you have the misc Danbooru tweaks script for Greasemonkey installed and enabled the feature in question. Otherwise it's just blankness below the article.

Oops. I'm so used to the script I don't even remember what it's like without it. I added a link for those without it to the wiki.

I'll say, i actually thought it was part of danbooru itself since i'm so used to the script as well.
Speaking of which, maybe that implication thing should be part of danbooru itself then?

Well, you can access the implications, it's just a bit inconvenient. About implementing script features, some time ago it was said if it's in the script there's no need to implement it.
Considering Albert is working on danbooru2 I understand that perfectly well.
