Rename "Penises touching"

Renaming "penises touching" to "cock docking". Mainly because it is a counterpart to "Symmetrical/Asymmetrical docking" and to make search easier (I had problems with this).

The other way around is fine for an alias I guess? However, I don't think you understand the "docking" part of the breast tags.

I do understand what it means and it carries the connotation of "two things together". On a side-note, I do know that the docking part in "Asymmetrical" and "Symmetrical" docking is actually slang from GaoGaiGar; However, the term I'm trying to use is also well known now as well (another imageboard has been using it) and it even has a page in Urban Dictionary.

Mind you, it does indeed use a less overt word, but in the end it's the same.

The fact that it is slang at all, regardless of how well-known, and there is a simple and intuitive non-slang alternative already in place, means that it's unacceptable as a tag.

There is no reason to change this tag.

The only thing I can see happening here is "penis_docking" being aliased into "penises_touching" so that users who try searching for it are automatically redirected to the correct tag, but at the same time, I honestly don't think this is common enough of a problem to even do that.

My problem is in establishing a relation to "Symmetrical_docking", otherwise, why would we keep "Symmetrical docking" when we can rename it to breasts touching?

There isn't really a need to establish a relation to symmetrical_docking.

There isn't really any need to change symmetrical docking, either. It's been around for seven years, since before core tagging policies were really fully developed. Despite its definition being based on slang, it's been around for long enough that changing it would cause much more confusion than leaving it alone ever would.

The same is not true for penises_touching/penis_docking. This concept didn't even exist as a separate tag until about two months ago; it was simply lumped in with frottage. Since it didn't have any significant history at all, there was no reason to use a slang tag when there was a perfectly reasonable non-slang alternative.

To be honest, I don't even see how this ended up being a real problem for you. Sure, I can see maybe thinking that this tag that you've seen used on another booru would be used here and trying that first, but it seems to me like "penises_touching" is a pretty obvious second guess. There's no need to change anything when "penises_touching" would be the first guess of almost anyone searching for this type of content.

Changing the tag would also cause confusion.

"Cock Docking" could also refer to the practice of "docking"
