I too would like to voice my complaints regarding the translation stuff in 2.0. Not only can new notes not be added, but ALSO, I went to an older pic that already had notes, and they were all gone. Upon closer inspection, everything was smushed together at the bottom of the page, beneath the Comment-Posting Typing Box, which REALLY doesn't work with manga/doujinshi pages and the like.
Somebody needs to find a way to bring back the old Translation/Note method ASAP.
I have a problem that when I ever work on a translation and add notes using the "n key" feature, I sometimes randomly log out. I don't even notice it and I can't save my edits (access denied). Did anybody have a similar problem?

Could you provide a link to a post with this problem and the browser you are using? I cannot duplicate this.
Also it seems to have nuked my ability to see notes on my iPad which saddens me.
Browsers I use are terra and the built in safari mobile

ON MY SCREEN: There is no longer the "transparent yellow box thing" over the Japanese text. I click "Note", and it auto-jumps to the top of the page. I then click the picture (like a bunch of people are telling me to) and... nothing happens. Nothing at all. I scroll down, below the picture, below the comments, and right below the "Text Body" box (I.E. what I'm typing this in right now before I hit "Submit") is the translation, right on top of "Before editing, read the how to tag guide."
On pics with lots of translated stuff (like post #899904), which USED TO have a bunch of little transparent yellow note-boxes, each one over a block of text with a translation for said block of text, there is nothing. Smushed below everything, like in the above pic, is PART OF the translations, all kerfuckled together, with big chunks missing.
I use Internet Explorer 7.
Are these problems affecting anyone else?

Notes are viewable in Firefox 18.0.2. Trying out Internet Explorer 8 with Windows XP, I encountered the same problems you described.
Translations works fine fore me in Firefox 18.0.2, IE9 and Chrome. I would say it's time to upgrade, as even Google and Facebook have stopped supporting IE7 users.
Do you know anything for mobile users or just for more traditional computers?

Regarding Browser Upgrade/Switch:
1. While I've been thinking of upgrading to IE8, I've been hearing nothing but BAD THINGS about IE9, with nearly everything I read regarding upgrading to it from 7 or 8 boiling down to "Don't do it".
2. I don't know the process of switching to Chrome or Firefox. And I've heard/read here & there that some sites that work with IE won't work with Chrome or Firefox, and that you can't transfer Favorites or the "Remember Me" option some sites have.

I've never heard of anything like that. And I haven't encountered one of these sites in my time using Firefox.
I'm pretty sure there are sites that work with Firefox and Chrome but not in IE7, though. Danbooru 2 being one of them.

I've never personally imported from IE to Firefox, but if what that page says is true, it should work.
Translation note offset is wrong for me when resizing an image to original after viewing it in "large" sample mode. Example: post #1347597
Is anyone else seeing this?
Anyone has a way to not make the page scroll all the way back up when pressing n in firefox? since that creates a quicksearch for the letter n which makes it jump back to the top of the page where Danbooru is written.
That's something the page (Danbooru) should handle, maybe with preventDefault or something like that.
I use regular internet explorer (7), and I can't see any trace of notes at all... Which doesn't bother me particularly, but for those who like the translations (or need them).
