create alias Jiisuke -> Diisuke

Link to alias

Diisuke is an artist. At the end of March, the tag was changed from "Jiisuke" to "Diisuke", based on re-examining the romanization of ヂイスケ. "Diisuke" is used for his twitter account, so presumably it's the correct romanization. However the tag was simply removed and readded on all posts, so searching for "Jiisuke" now gives 0 results.

Hepburn romanization of ヂ is ji, not di. And Danbooru's romanization policy takes precedence over the artist's preferred romanization, so it should be:

create alias diisuke -> jiisuke

Not really, since the nickname is in katakana and not hiragana. Danbooru has an established rule that words in katakana may get styled exactly like the artist's intention if it's not a Japanese name.

Jiisuke is not a Japanese name. If it was ヂスケ, I would agree it should be Jisuke because it would be a name. But he used ヂイスケ, which might or might not be a mash-up of some words. We don't know that. So it should be left as Diisuke.

I'm also against aliasing Jiisuke -> Diisuke because the former is not that unique a word (googling じいすけ/jiisuke). Some pixiv users might sooner or later take it as their nickname.

It's possible, but it's also possible that someone else will call themselves Diisuke. I feel that it would be best to address that issue when (and if) it comes up. But for now, any users familiar with the old tag would search for "Jiisuke" and not find anything. The move was done without any sort of notification or forwarding, which is why I feel the alias is necessary. Same for any links on external websites to a search result for "Jiisuke".
