Synonym.

A Soviet is a person from the USSR. Therefore, I oppose this alias. You can mass-edit the tags instead if that is an improvement.

Maybe we can alias ussr to soviet union though.

Soviet can refer to things created by the people living in the soviet republic just as much as the people themselves. ie a "soviet tank"

We're not really consistent on whether country names have their own tags separate from their adjectives. I think we probably only need one, and generally the adjective will suffice. Of course that conflicts when the adjective and language name are the same, for text translation purposes.

Technically, "soviet" is Russian for council. I'd vote to alias it the other way: soviet -> soviet_union.
