novel/2590963

I wanted to draw a battle manga but ended up drawing a "Keine-sensei Rape" man-...

Happy New Year! Looking forward to your supports this year as well <(_ _)>
This time I adapted the question No.24 of Paiman-san's entry "Interview with the guy named Paiman, creator of Touhou Sendai Story" into a manga. novel/2590963
    ■ I'm deeply grateful to Paiman-san, who answered my wish by kindly giving me permission so early in the new year. Please let me enjoy your future works from now on.
    ■ The real title of this manga is "I finally catch up to reading the latest chapter of the Touhou Sendai Story, and I want to draw the favorite scene in my memory, but before I know it I end up drawing a manga where Keine-sensei offered her body to protect the temple school. A 'whew, this makes me horny' manga"

If I am not mistaking, this seems to be an illustration drawn by Warugaki to visualize a novel written by Paiman パイマン (author). Because of fail Japanese I cannot exactly make out why or how, but he seems to have permission for it.

Here is the original link http://www.pixiv.net/novel/show.php?id=2590963#2

I don't know though how I should name the pool for this.

PS this manga illustration by Warugaki seems unusual, but it is following the novel of Paiman. It is unfortunately Keine being raped or so it seems, for the sake of protecting the village(?)

Well damn, that is unnecessary dark for W to indulge in this kind of work. Not that I can stop him though.

Pretty much it, yeah. Warugaki offered to make a manga out of Paiman's novel, and the story is about Keine selling her body to protect the temple school(from shady villager higher-ups??)

Ok, after long pondering I decided to put it temporary in a pool with the following name which I tried to elicit from the description and somewhat self-implication but it feels so empty/short. Paiman has written out a title though I am unable to translate it.

Well, at least it is organised like this. I am though quite curious about the story, especially being unusual work and based on a novella from another writer. Thank you in advance for the translations.

I was quite surprised, too. There must be a good reason for him to do this kind of thing; either a friendship or admiration of some kind. I don't think this is something that Warugaki would do just for anybody.

Ok, this is killing me, can someone translate both the mini-novel & the comic? I'm dying to see what happened here, becasue this is flat out unsusual terriotry for Warugaki to be in. Also, for the SWJ's who try to downvote comments, to that no one will see the requests for this comic being translated, stop it. Just becasue someone is trying to see what happens in a story, and that story might make you somewhat uncomfortable, dosen't mean that you have the right to censor someone's works. There are Warugaki fans, who legitamately want to see what happened to his Keine, and why he would contrubite to a seemingly dark story.

Seems somebody is putting up a childish tantrum by downvoting all comments in this pool. No idea for what reason though, it is not like we're crowning Warugaki here we're actually quite surprised for this outcome and so are people on Pixiv it seems.

This and the yuri fanatics (ala post #1892897) are why I have my comment threshold at -3.

I know right? I mean the scenes with the implied rape are still pending, and i guess it's becasue some of the mods are still pandering to the SWJ's who rage about thier favorite touhou character being sexually violated in a distrubing, and violent way. The world isn't all sunshine, and rainbows people. Sometimes stories like these help bring more context into the darkest depths of society. This comic & and the novel should be translated, because it's a gread injustice to this series artistic merit. We have seen this series explore some to the deepest parts of our reality, and has shown some of the most emotional parts of the human condition. I'm telling people right now, if they don't enjoy rape scenes, than they should not look at this work, and avoid it altogether.

Honestly I'm not a fan of stories like this, but I don't understand why would people would want to censor it, I don't see anyone supporting rape or something among these lines, all I see it's plain curiosity about the story, and I can understand. It's wrong to run away from problems.

Anyway, why did Warugaki decide to draw this? Was this a commission or his choice? I'm rather curious since I didn't imagine Warugaki being a fan of this kind of settings, while the Satori doujinshi had a rather dark setting it was pretty "silly", this one looks plain serious instead.

I hope it gets translated instead of being buried in the sand for the sake of information.

I wish someone will translate the rest of the manga, and put the translated version of the novella in the comments section, somewhere in this pool. This story looks way more engaging, than what the manga is letting on. If Warugaki chickened out on drawing cetrtian scenes, then it must be a really, REALLY intense manga. I'm just curious to know what the whole story is about, and i wish that i knew japanese. Hopefull we can get the full story either on this website, or on a Touhou forum. If that happens, can anyone leave a link in this comment thread?

One more thing, I think that projects like Touhou can have to power to tap into the deppest of human emotions, and spark major thought provking discussions, and debates amongst fans about certian issues. I centrially have seen such things, on this website on most Touhou works, and i'm glad to be a part of the fanbase. If we start censoring such issues, how are we as people supposed to grow? We should look towards these stories to make better sense of the world that we live in, finding our place in the world, and how we can somehow better society. I know that this seems kind of silly, especially since this is comming from a person, with an obvious sense of curoisity, but this goes much deeper than just finding out the context of a story written in japanese. I hope that we see more stories like these, not becasue of some sick perversions, but becasue it brings a sense of reality to the Touhou Project, and humanity to some of these characters(irony is heavy from the last part of this sentence).

If Helepolis can see this, I want you to relay this to Warugaki. He is an excellent artist, and he should not be ashamed for stepping out of the boundaries to bring us more interesting stoires like this. He, and other artists should strive to make more darker, and more "human" tales for the Touhou Project. Tell him that he has a lot of balls for drawing a comic, with such heavy material.

    Like eating humans, for example.
    ...
    ...
    ...okay, don't mind me.

Anyway, I don't mean to support censoring or the like, but there's also no need to show it explicitly. Warugaki has done well with this one by making it subtle, only showing a glimpse of the necessary part simply to further enhance the emotion it wants us to feel, and instead focuses more on the thoughts of the character and their physiological state.
Though I do wonder why the questionable pages aren't approved yet...

If you want to read thought-provoking stuffs, then it's just a matter of selecting the right author and books. And unfortunately, don't expect too see many of those around here. Particularly because there aren't many free Touhou webcomics lately from Pixiv or other sources. The fact that many of them prefer to do other series, like Kancolle, is simply just one of reason for that. But I assure you, there are still plenty of such quality stories, only in the form of doujins.
If you cannot read Japanese, your best bet are looking for the translated ones in sites like Voile
There's also some listing by authors

And another thing is the lack of active translators and editors. Even in Voile, there's only a handful of them and even less that are regulars. Some are already translated, but no editor to work on it.
As a translator myself, I guess...I'm..kind of responsible for that...?

yeah, but sometimes showing something, can have a more jarring, and more powerfull effect. If there are stoires on danbooru, that can show a character being brutally maimed, and murdered, then i know that rape should not be left off the table. He dosen't show the explicit action, but it's enough to get it's point across. Warugaki, should be proud that he had the balls to do something so out of the normal boundaries, of the touhou fandom. i hope other artists have the courage to break out of the moe mold, and do more mature stoires.

Not to start a discussion/debate about morality but I need to point out:
Replace the characters in this illustration with non-anime fictional ones and I am sure suddenly a large number of people would stop caring. While that is odd as the core of the story remains the same. Feels like double standards.
I've also seen a comment on Pixiv where someone wrote in English and Japanese that Warugaki is disrespecting ZUN. Quite hilarious as Pixiv is full of gore and rape related pictures. Even danbooru has plenty of them. So again double standards.
That said, Monhan clearly points out that there is no need to show it explicitly and I agree. Even without the illustrations from Warugaki, if you toss the story in google translate, you will get the picture very clearly. Paiman didn't write further on the rape part either. This isn't your average R-18 doujin where porn is the main goal.

Back to the actual Pixiv work and related:
Besides, people keep forgetting that this is a novel written by Paiman. Warugaki didn't come up with the story, he didn't decide for this story line nor he has any influence on it. So people are barking up the wrong tree. Why or how he decided to illustrate this is written partially in the artist commentary (which perhaps could use translation).

I also don't understand why 1 of the explicit pictures are approved and others not. I hope it is not due to the janitors/mods applying censorship or being extremely biased. The pages are a part of the original story line and pool as shown on pixiv.

Please understand that I am in no position to judge Warugaki for his doujin or illustration works nor encourage/discourage him to draw things more or less. I might have somewhat a real life friend relationship with him but that is unrelated to this. Though out of curiosity I could probably ask very carefully his motive but that is about it.

To note, this superslam338 fellow seems to just comment similarly on various R-18 and R-18G posts on Pixiv. Their targeting and poor japanese leads me to believe they're from a western country and just find these posts through danbooru.

Ok, thank you Mr.Helepolis. I appreciate you bringing this comic to danbooru. have a good day sir. On a related note, people post pictures of Touhou characters being in sexually explicit positions, and them burtally murdering others, but where there's a rape scene, that played straight, and not for cheap titilation, there's suddenly an outcry. Heck, there are hentai doujins that depict even worse things happening to characters like Keine, yet no one bats an eye. Yes there is definitely a double standard when it comes to issues like these, and i wish that people would calm down about this. It's a story, by a touhou fan. It dosen't change anything in cannon, and it certianly does not ruin the character. Only Zun has the final say in what happens to his characters.
